As a new business owner, it is important to me that my work aligns
with my values. This is why I am making efforts to become a more
sustainable hostel. I recognize my responsibility to try and reduce
consumption of water, waste and energy in our hostel.
I also recognize my responsibility to contribute to the
environment of a country that is offering me so much, to me and to
all the travelers coming here.
It is therefore with this idea in mind that I am presenting you my four
overall sustainability goals:

Reduce energy and water consumption

Educate and inspire our staff and guests to do the same

Recycling as much as we can

Contribute to reforestation by sending a dollar per review that we receive to the Community Carbon Tree in Costa Rica
It’s all about taking small steps towards mother earth so as to make this planet a better place for our communities and generations to come. The more that we all do our part, the faster we will create an entire ecology of living that promotes sustainability. Our efforts will be most successful if we create awareness among guests and this is why we are trying to encourage them to write a review as a way to partner with us on this sustainability initiative.
